Phuket Imposes Total Lockdown: Covid-19

In its sustained effort to stop the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Phuket has imposed a total lockdown for all its 17 sub districts for 14 days starting from 00:01 Hrs on 13th April 2020 to last till midnight of 26th April 2020 or until the situation improves.

Phuket is already conducting active case finding to screen all new cases of COVID-19 and with this new move it will be Thailand’s first province in Thailand to go for complete lockdown.

Medical teams, emergency personnel and logistics workers are though exempted from this lockdown.
