The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced that it will launch “Amazing Thailand Plus” offers for international tourists who wish to enter into Thailand amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The TAT has cooperated with Thai Airways International (THAI), Thailand Hotels Association (THA) and Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA) to launch the offer.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, has said in an official statement, “The Amazing Thailand Plus offer gives visitors value added benefits while ensuring safety and health for both themselves and the Thai people. Every foreign traveler to Thailand must undergo mandatory 14-day quarantine and follow all rules and regulations set by the Ministry of Public Health just like every Thai national returning home from overseas.”
The Amazing Thailand Plus offers more than 400 packages, including special fares for international and domestic flights, government-approved Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) hotel rooms and post-quarantine travel or transfer services. Accommodation options are available at more than 100 hotels and 70 ASQ hotels in designated destinations.
Reservation and air tickets must be made through Thai Airways International by choosing any offer categorized as package A, B or C. Terms and conditions apply.
Package A (Bangkok Extra): It provides accommodation in ASQ hotels of visitor’s choice and a complimentary half-day or one-day city tour in Ayutthaya, Bangkok or Nakhon Pathom after quarantine.
Package B [Bangkok and Beyond (drive-in)]: It includes accommodation in ASQ hotels of visitor’s choice, as well as free transfer services up to 3,000 baht after isolation, from Bangkok to selected hotels in Cha-Am, Chon Buri, Hua Hin, Khao Yai and Rayong.
Package C [Bangkok and Beyond (fly-in)]: It covers accommodation in ASQ hotels where visitor want to stay. It includes an option between following complimentary:
1) Domestic round-trip air tickets to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Krabi or Phuket on Thai Smile Airways, after quarantine.
2) Discount of 3,000 baht on a round-trip air ticket to Ko Samui on Bangkok Airways, after quarantine.
The Amazing Thailand Plus offers are available for bookings from December 2020 to March 2021 and the travelling period is valid from December 2020 until April 2021.
It is strongly recommended that interested travelers must consult with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate General in their home country before making any reservations. This is because a Single-Entry Tourist Visa (TR) or Special Tourist Visa (STV) applications can only be made at the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate General in the country of origin of the traveler.
